ENGLISH INTERNATIONAL PLAYER
Bess Alice May Heath, affectionately known as "BAM" for her explosive batting prowess, is set to light up the Brisbane Heat roster after being selected in the Silver round of the inaugural WBBL International Player Draft. With her dynamic right-hand batting style, Bess promises to be an exciting addition to the Heat family.
Last season, Bess showcased her skills in the WBBL, playing seven games for the Melbourne Stars as an International replacement player for Jemimah Rodrigues. Her remarkable journey also includes being a key member of the Northern Superchargers, who reached the Final of The Hundred last month.
BAM's career began at a young age when she made her country cricket debut for Derbyshire at just 13 years old. A versatile athlete, she had the opportunity to pursue a professional rugby union career with Worcestershire Warriors but ultimately chose the path of cricket.
In recent seasons, Bess has represented England 'A,' including matches against Australia 'A.' Her experience against top-quality opposition will make her a valuable asset for the Brisbane Heat, where she'll join forces with recent opponents Charli Knott and Courtney Sippel.
Get ready to witness the fireworks as BAM brings her explosive talent to the Brisbane Heat in WBBL|09!
