Heat Lock in Squad

The Brisbane Heat have locked in their squad for tonight's Weber Women's Big Bash League clash with defending champions Adelaide Strikers at Karen Rolton Oval in Adelaide.

The match is the first time the two teams have met since the Finals series last summer, when the Strikers knocked out the Heat at the same venue to qualify for the Final against the Sydney Sixers.

Brisbane has opened the WBBL with four wins on the trot, including Friday night's victory over the Melbourne Stars at Allan Border Field.

Wicket-keeper Georgia Redmayne has been included in the 13-player squad for tonight after missing the Stars match due to right calf soreness.

The opening batter suffered a serious Achilles tendon injury to her left leg in the final loss to the Strikers 11 months ago, making a successful return from the injury last month for the Queensland Fire in the Womens National Cricket League.

Batter Grace Harris heads the BKT Tyres Golden Bat run-scoring list with 242 runs while captain Jess Jonassen (7), pace bowler Courtney Sippel (6) and English leg-spinner Sarah Glenn (6) are among the leading wicket-takers so far in WBBL|09.

Tonight's game starts at 6.10pm Qld time and will be streamed live on Kayo, cricket.com.au and broadcast on Foxtel and ABC radio.
