Heat Into Spring Challenge Semi-Final

The Brisbane Heat have qualified for the semi-finals of the pre-season T20 Spring Challenge series this Saturday off the back of an inspired performance by Georgia Redmayne today.

The Heat locked in their spot in Saturday's semi-finals in Sydney with an exciting win over the Adelaide Strikers at Karen Rolton Oval this morning as Redmayne powered Brisbane to a six wicket win with an over to spare.

The Heat wicket-keeper and opener fell just shy of a pulsating century, dismissed for 96 from 55 balls, taking the Heat level with Adelaide's score of 6-175.

Brisbane's win also featured tidy contributions from Charli Knott (30 off 22) and Sianna Ginger (24no off 18 balls).

With the ball, leg-spinner Grace Parsons bounced back from a 13-run opening over to dominate the middle order, finshing with 2-26 from her four overs, including Redmayne taking two sharp stumpings.

It complemented a compelling effort from Wests allrounder Ruby Strange who snapped up 4-31 from three overs including two wickets in her first over to pull back the early momentum from the Strikers.
