WBBL Heat Into Spring Final!

The WBBL Brisbane Heat have won throught to the Final of the T20 Spring Challenge in Sydney tomorrow with a steely win over Adelaide in today's semi-final.

Brisbane will play either Hobart or the Melbourne Stars in tomorrow's Final at Cricket Central in Sydney.

The Heat have enjoyed a strong showing in the pre-season, warm-up tournament ahead of next week's opening weekend of the Weber Women's Big Bash League.

In a determined team effort today, pace spearhead Nicola Hancock (4-23), allrounder Sianna Ginger (2-23 and 46 off 38) and Georgia Redmayne (35 and a sharp stumping) led the way.

Again, the squad made the most of opportunities, as they fiercely defended their score of 9-160, keeping the Strikers to 9-122.

Brisbane won by 38 runs to make it two wins in a row over the Strikers in this competition, which is designed to provide a lead-in tournament for WBBL clubs and the ACT to expose more players to higher level T20 games.

Tomorrow's Final will be played from 1.30pm Qld time and streamed live on Kayo and cricket.com.au

The Heat take on Adelaide next Sunday at the Adelaide Oval in the opening round of the WBBL.
