WATCH: Mooney and Jonassen on their World Cup Selection
Mooney and Jonassen were standouts for the Heat in the second season of the Rebel Women's Big Bash League, with the former winning her second straight Player of the Year for the club whilst also taking out the competition's Player of the Season after scoring 407 runs and taking 11 dismissals behind the stumps.
Mooney capped off her summer in fine style after becoming the first Queenslander to score a One-Day International century having blasted an even 100 against New Zealand in February.
Likewise Jonassen starred for the Heat in 2016-17, taking 17 wickets and scoring 205 runs.
The Southern Stars kick off their ICC Women's World Cup defence on the 26th of June against the West Indies. The 2017 tournament moves away from the traditional group format, with all eight teams instead playing each other once and the top four nations moving into the semifinals.

Both Mooney and Jonassen will stay on in the UK after the World Cup to play in the second season of the Kia Super League with the Yorkshire Diamonds and Lancashire Thunder respectively.
