The Heat travelled to Perth today from Sydney where they defeated the Sydney Sixers in the Challenger Final last night to secure their spot in the Decider against the defending champions.
It was their seventh win in eight matches.
Brisbane won its only BBL title to date in the second year of the competition when they defeated the Scorchers at the WACA.
The Heat finished third in BBL|10 and this season has won through to the Final.
Brisbane finished fifth after the regular season matches and faced having to win three sudden-death deciders in the past week on the road to qualify for the final against the minor premiers.
The Heat’s exciting win over the Sydney Sixers last night was the highest rating BBL game of the season, with more than a million viewers.
Channel 7 in Queensland will run a special 30-minute News bulletin tomorrow night to enable coverage of the Final on its primary channel from 6.30pm for Queensland viewers.
Tomorrow night’s Final will be opener Sam Heazlett’s 50th match for the Heat.
If included in the starting side, allrounder Jack Wildermuth and pace bowler Will Prestwidge would play their first matches in the BBL this season.
