McSweeney In for Strikers Clash

The Brisbane Heat has made a late match-day change to its squad for tonight's KFC Big Bash League clash with the Adelaide Strikers at the Adelaide Oval.

The Heat successfully applied to the BBL Technical Committee to clear the inclusion of allrounder Nathan McSweeney into the squad in the wake of the Prime Minister's XI match against Pakistan finishing in a draw earlier today.

McSweeney captained the Prime Minister’s XI while his Heat teammates Matt Renshaw, who finished 136no, and wicket-keeper Jimmy Peirson also played.

Renshaw and Peirson were not available for tonight's game.

McSweeney, who has been a stand-out for South Australia this season, opted to make the afternoon dash from Canberra to join the Heat for tonight’s game, which may be affected by wet weather.

The game will be broadcast live and exclusively on FOX Cricket, covered on radio via SEN and streamed through Kayo.

The game is scheduled to start at 6.15pm Queensland time.
