Squad Named for Sixers

The Brisbane Heat has kept the same squad of 14 players together for tonight's clash with the Sydney Sixers in Coffs Harbour.

The Heat has added wicket-keeper Jimmy Peirson to its squad, with Local Replacement player Hugo Burdon dropping out of the squad. 

The Heat head into Wednesday night's clash on top of the table on 10 points, with the Sixers sitting in second on 8 following the rained out New Year's Bash fixture. 

If chosen in the starting side for either match, right-arm South Australian quick Jordan Buckingham would make his BBL and Brisbane Heat debuts.

Brisbane Heat’s indigenous artwork was collaboratively designed by WBBL player and proud Kunja woman Mikayla Hinkley and Brisbane Indigenous artist, Delores McDonald (“Aunty Delly”).

The centre circle represents the Gabba, alongside other water holes which used to be near the ground. 87 black strokes on red earth represent the wickets taken by Aboriginal great, Eddie Gilbert who played 23 games for Queensland.
