HEAT SET FOR GABBA | Primetime Clash Tomorrow

The WBBL Brisbane Heat have recalled rising left-arm pace bowler Lucy Hamilton for tomorrow's crucial Weber Women’s Big Bash League match against Adelaide Strikers at the Gabba.

Hamilton, 18, has missed the past two games while she completed her senior school exams in Bundaberg, and comes into the 13-player squad in place of fellow student Lily Bassingthwaighte.

She is the only change to the Heat squad which lost two tight games in Perth this week an currently sit in fourth spot.

Hamilton, the current Australian Under-19 captain, is yet to play in this season’s WBBL.

Brisbane Heat batting trump Grace Harris returns to the venue where she scored a blazing century from just 42 balls in 2018, as the club’s new leading runs-scorer in the WBBL.

Harris, who hit 41 from 31 balls yesterday in the loss to the Sydney Thunder, went past Beth Mooney in the innings to take the mantle as the team’s statistical leader.

The Gabba Smash presented by Ward is a repeat of last year's WBBL grand final thriller, won in the final over by the Strikers at the Adelaide Oval and shapes as a key match for both teams.

It is the first stand-alone WBBL fixture to be played in prime time, under lights at Queensland’s traditional home of cricket, and the first time in more than five years that the WBBL Heat have played at the venue.

Star Australian DJ duo Kinder will light up the Gabba as part of the Weber WBBL|10 Stadium Series, with the dance sensations to perform an electrifying show.

Gates open at 4.45pm with the match starting at 6.15pm.

Tickets are on sale now through Ticketek for the Gabba Smash presented by Ward.

Tomorrow night’s game will be broadcast live and exclusively on Foxtel, with streaming through Kayo.
