Player Story
Nicola was born and raised in Melbourne, but it didn't take long for Queensland to claim her as our own, welcoming Nic into the Brisbane Heat & QLD Fire team as a powerful Allrounder. Nic began her career as part of the Victorian under-15 squad, and her determination and drive saw her included in not only the Victorian under-18 side, but also the Shooting Stars during their 2015 tour of Dubai. Having previously played for Hobart Hurricanes and the Melbourne Stars, Nic's heart now beats for the Heat and she's loving every minute of it. When Nic's not playing cricket, she's busy renovating her home in Boondall, playing with her Bull Arab pup Hansen, and spending as much time as she can outdoors enjoying day trips to Mooloolaba and the Redcliffe Markets on a Sunday. In between all that, she also runs her own personal training business.

Brisbane Heat’s indigenous artwork was collaboratively designed by WBBL player and proud Kunja woman Mikayla Hinkley and Brisbane Indigenous artist, Delores McDonald (“Aunty Delly”).
The centre circle represents the Gabba, alongside other water holes which used to be near the ground. 87 black strokes on red earth represent the wickets taken by Aboriginal great, Eddie Gilbert who played 23 games for Queensland.
