Heat Retain Squad For Final

The WBBL Brisbane Heat has retained the same squad that locked in their spot for tomorrow’s Weber Women’s Big Bash League Eliminator Final against the Sydney Thunder at the WACA in Perth.

The Heat travelled to Perth last night to prepare for the knockout Final tomorrow, with victory in that encounter sending them into a sudden-death clash with the Perth Scorchers in the Challenger Final on Wednesday in Perth.

The Heat, who qualified for the Finals for the sixth time in a row when they defeated the Sydney Thunder in Adelaide on Friday, have played four games at the WACA, winning two.

The Eliminator will be played at 4.40pm local time which is 6.40pm QLD time and broadcast live on Channel 7 and Foxtel and streamed on KAYO.

Brisbane Heat’s indigenous artwork was collaboratively designed by WBBL player and proud Kunja woman Mikayla Hinkley and Brisbane Indigenous artist, Delores McDonald (“Aunty Delly”).

The centre circle represents the Gabba, alongside other water holes which used to be near the ground. 87 black strokes on red earth represent the wickets taken by Aboriginal great, Eddie Gilbert who played 23 games for Queensland.
