Laura Harris On The Move

After a decade and more than 100 WBBL games for the Brisbane Heat, bruising batter Laura Harris is moving on.

Harris was unveiled last night as the final signing of the first Weber Women's Big Bash League trade and recruitment week window, with the right-hander heading to the Sydney Thunder on a multi-year deal.

The 34-year-old was an inaugral Heat squad member in the WBBL and along with sister Grace and captain Jess Jonassen, was celebrated in BBL|10 this year.

The Brisbane Heat thank Laura for her contributions and wish her well in the future.

Brisbane Heat’s indigenous artwork was collaboratively designed by WBBL player and proud Kunja woman Mikayla Hinkley and Brisbane Indigenous artist, Delores McDonald (“Aunty Delly”).

The centre circle represents the Gabba, alongside other water holes which used to be near the ground. 87 black strokes on red earth represent the wickets taken by Aboriginal great, Eddie Gilbert who played 23 games for Queensland.
