Player Story
South African-born all-rounder Michael Neser is a Foundation Heat player, having played for the club way back in BBL|01. After nine successful seasons with the Adelaide Strikers, he returned home to the Heat and is highly rated as one of Australia’s best bowlers. Nicknamed ‘Nes’, he has represented Australia in the One Day format and has been a consistent Test squad member over the past few years. Like many of his teammates, Nes loves getting outdoors, spending time at the beach or fishing with mates. Impressively, he also has his commercial pilots licence like Uzzy!

Brisbane Heat’s indigenous artwork was collaboratively designed by WBBL player and proud Kunja woman Mikayla Hinkley and Brisbane Indigenous artist, Delores McDonald (“Aunty Delly”).
The centre circle represents the Gabba, alongside other water holes which used to be near the ground. 87 black strokes on red earth represent the wickets taken by Aboriginal great, Eddie Gilbert who played 23 games for Queensland.
